Email Setup - Client Side (Microsoft Outlook)

After setting up your server mailbox, you can proceed to set up your client email account. (If you have yet to set up your server mailbox, please proceed to Email Setup - Server Side (DirectAdmin) to set up your server mailbox first.)

This article will document the procedure to set up Microsoft Outlook to download email via the POP protocol from our mail server. (If you are using Outlook Express instead, please refer to Email Setup - Client Side (Outlook Express) )

1. Click on Tools>>Email Accounts.

2. Select View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next.

3. Click Add

4. Select POP3 and Click Next

5. Key in the relevant details. Take note that the user name is your login email account and click More Settings.

6. Under the Outgoing Server tab, indicate that the outgoing SMTP server requires authentication and click OK.

7. Click on Test Account Settings.

8. Click Next. Your email account would have been successfully created.
