This article is to explain to you the steps involved in configuring the server before you can use your account to send/receive mails. This is a mandatory step in email set up.

1. Go to the relevant url. You will see a login screen. Login with your userId and password. (This should have been emailed to you. If you did not receive your control panel password, feel free to drop us a mail at support@199web.com.sg)

2. Click on E-mail Menu

3. Click add on E-mail Accounts

4. Click on Create POP3 mail account.

5. Fill in your account details and click Create.

6. Your account has been successfully created. Click on Sign Out.

7. Your account has been successfully set up. Go to your webmail url at http://yourdomain.com/squirrelmail and try to login. Note that your login name is your email address. If your account is set up correctly, you should be able to login to your webmail.

You can use your squirrelmail to perform email operations like sending and receiving mail. To understand more about your email client, feel free to refer to the squirrelmail manual. If you would like to check your email through a proper email client, 2 of the common ones are Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express.  Click on the appropriate icon for the relevant set up instructions.

Outlook Express (could not find the icon.. but if yours is a microsoft product and does not look like the icon above, there is a 99% chance that you are using an Outlook Express email client…)
